Give visitors a direct route to WhatsApp
When someone has a quick question, a message may suit them better than a phone call. A WhatsApp option on your website reduces the effort involved in starting that conversation: visitors open the contact button and choose WhatsApp.
The link opens WhatsApp using the app or web experience available on the visitor’s device. They still choose whether to send a message. ReachButton does not send a message automatically or promise that a visitor will have WhatsApp installed.
Use your existing WhatsApp number
Enter the number your business uses for WhatsApp in your ReachButton dashboard. Use the international country code. For a UK mobile number, replace the leading 0 with 44; for example, 07700 900123 becomes 447700900123. Make sure the number is registered with WhatsApp.
Check the destination yourself before sharing the button with customers. If several people handle enquiries, decide who will monitor the account and how quickly they can reply. The button makes the channel easier to find; your business controls availability and responses.
Offer a choice instead of forcing one channel
Some visitors want to message, while others prefer to call or email. You can put those choices together in the same flyout, so adding WhatsApp does not mean adding another floating button for every contact method.
Include only the channels you actively monitor. If WhatsApp is not suitable for a particular enquiry, your contact form or email link can give visitors another route. ReachButton does not replace WhatsApp, synchronise your messages or provide a separate conversation dashboard.
Use your branding around the contact choices
Choose the colour, display name, logo, short message and corner position of your widget. The flyout can feel like part of your website rather than a separate service. Preview it before installation, then open it on your phone to check it alongside the rest of your layout.
Your branding applies to the ReachButton widget. WhatsApp’s own app or web interface keeps its own appearance. You can change the displayed number or widget design from your dashboard; saved changes apply when the installed widget next loads.
Add it to WordPress or an HTML website
For WordPress, paste the supplied embed code into WPCode’s Footer section. For an HTML site, place the code before the closing body tag on the pages where the button should appear. The widget loads your chosen contact options from ReachButton.
You can design the widget before starting your account’s trial. One seven-day trial is available on one website, with no automatic charge. Keeping that website active costs £19.95 once, and additional websites require their own purchase. The price includes the contact options you choose; WhatsApp is not a separate ReachButton add-on.
