What a click-to-call button does
A click-to-call link uses a telephone number to open the calling application on a visitor’s device. On a typical mobile phone, the number appears in the dialler so the visitor can start the call. It removes the need to copy a number from the page or remember it while switching apps.
The visitor remains in control of placing the call. On a desktop computer, the result depends on whether they have a calling application configured. ReachButton does not place calls automatically, provide a telephone service or change the charges associated with the visitor’s phone plan.
Put calling alongside other contact methods
Phone calls suit some enquiries better than forms or messages. A visitor may want to check availability, ask a question before ordering or discuss something difficult to describe in writing. A visible calling option lets them choose that route.
Not every visitor wants to call. The same flyout can include text, WhatsApp, email, Messenger or your existing contact form. You can keep the channels together in one button instead of placing several floating controls around the page.
Use the number you actually want customers to call
Add your business telephone number in the dashboard and check it carefully. Using an international format can help visitors dial correctly: a UK number begins with +44 and omits the leading 0 of the local number. Use a number that your business is prepared to display publicly.
ReachButton does not route calls, record calls or provide call tracking. Calls go through the visitor’s chosen calling application to the number you enter. If you already use a suitable business number, the widget can link to it without replacing your phone setup.
Keep the button usable on a small screen
Choose a corner that stays clear of navigation, cookie notices and other important controls. Open the flyout on your website after installation and check that the call option is easy to select without obscuring the rest of the page.
Use the widget’s short message to set a useful expectation, such as asking visitors how you can help. Do not imply an immediate response if your team cannot offer one. You control the number and wording; the widget makes those details accessible.
Install once and manage the details centrally
ReachButton works through an embed script for your saved website. Add it through WPCode’s Footer section on WordPress, or before the closing body tag on an HTML site. The dashboard preview lets you review your contact choices and colours first.
A saved change to your telephone number applies when the installed widget next loads. Your account has one seven-day trial on one website. A £19.95 one-off purchase enables that website while ReachButton operates, with no recurring subscription. Additional websites have their own purchase.
